OK, the NBA lottery has passed, pretty surprising one at that. Changes a lot of my picks. Here we go…

1. New Orleans Hornets: Anthony Davis – C – Kentucky
#1 no matter what. In my opinion, best #1 since Derrick Rose

2. Charlotte Bobcats: Andre Drummond – C – Uconn
Next best big, NBA ready. Hopefully MJ lets someone else make the decisions

3. Washington Wizards: Michael Kid Gilchrist – SF – Kentucky
Their biggest need is a good SF, perfect fit.

4. Cleveland Cavaliers: Thomas Robinson – PF – Kansas
Strong, athletic, ready to start now

5. Sacramento Kings(from bucks): Jared Sullinger -PF – Ohio State
Him and Cousins, big bodies up front

6. Portland Blazers(from nets): John Henson – PF – North Carolina
Long, athletic, shot blocker, rebounder

7. Golden State Warriors: Bradley Beal – SG – Florida
Best SG in the draft, best player here.

8. Toronto Raptors: Harrison Barnes – SF – North Carolina
They need a star, he’ll be one for sure

9. Detroit Pistons: Jeremy Lamb – SG – Uconn
Best player here, can play 1,2, or 3

10. New Orleans Hornets(from wolves): Kendall Marshall – PG – North Carolina
Best court vision out of anybody in the whole draft. Good passer for Davis

11. Portland Blazers: Damian Lillard – PG – Weber State
2nd best PG in the draft, could be their future guy

12. Milwaukee Bucks: Perry Jones – PF – Baylor
Might go earlier, future all-star

13. Phoenix Suns: Austin Rivers – SG – Duke
Upgrade, and he has mad potential

14. Houston Rockets: Tyler Zeller – C – North Carolina
7 footer, who plays good D, and adds depth

15. Philadelphia 76ers: Terrence Ross – SG -Washington
They really need a scorer, can play 2 or 3

16.Houston Rockets(from Knicks): Terrence Jones – PF – Kentucky
Best here, should have gone earlier. Super athletic

17. Dallas Mavericks: Dion Waiters – SG – Syracuse
They could do a lot here, He’s an underrated 2

18. Minnesota T-Wolves(from jazz): Meyers Leonard – C – Illinois
Good big, takes pressure off of Love.

19. Orlando Magic: Quincy Miller – SF – Baylor
They need a playmaker.

20. Denver Nuggets: Evan Fournier – SG – France
Not much needs. They stay foreign. he’s the best foreign player

21. Boston Celtics: Fab Melo – C – Syracuse
They’ve needed a good big defender since they traded Perkins

22. Boston Celtics(from clippers): Arnett Moultrie – PF – Miss. St
Size is what they need

23. Atlanta Hawks: Moe Harkless – SF – St. Johns
Depth at 2 and 3

24. Cleveland Cavaliers: Jeff Taylor – SF – Vanderbilt
Great athlete, Kyrie needs help

25. Memphis Grizzlies: Festus Ezeli – C – Vanderbilt
Good C off the bench

26. Indiana Pacers: Draymond Green – SF – Michigan St.
Great for defense, underrated offense too

27. Miami Heat: Dusan Cantekin – C – Syrbia
He’s 7’4, they NEED a big guy

28. Oklahoma City Thunder: Kyle O’Quinn – C – Norfolk State
Defender/rebounder

29. Chicago Bulls: Marquis Teague – PG – Kentucky
Don’t know how he fell this far, if Rose is healthy, that’s a good combo

30. Golden State Warriors(from spurs): Tony Wroten Jr. – PG – Washington
Best out there, big for a PG. If he shoots better, could be deadly

There it was, totally different than before. I’m gonna wait a while, I’m sure there will be more trades in the mean time. There’s also free agency to shake things up a little bit. Hope you like it, see you soon…

With the Heat winning the finals. I’m honestly convinced that the Heat are one dominant center away from owning the league. Which is one of their weaknesses along with the point guard position. I dont see Cp3 winning with the Clippers. Unless they get Dwight Howard, an elite coach, play good defense, and get another reliable offensive player other than Cp3. Cp3 runs the offense and then they throw lobs on the fastbreak. Jamal Crawford was legit but he disappeared in the playoffs and the end of the season.

I say the Indiana Pacers is a perfect fit. He can help Roy Hibbert’s offensive game. Paul George is only going to get better. He already has chemistry with David West (New Orlean Hornets & they could do a lot of damage on the pick n roll). George Hill would be a solid PG off the bench. He doesn’t run the offense but he can provide them with scoring. Pacers should trade Danny Granger to free up cap space or trade him for a reliable back up C or PF. Because they have Lance Stephson who can play SG or SF.

    What do you think?

Hello Web Admin, I noticed that your On-Page SEO is is missing a few factors, for one you do not use all three H tags in your post, also I notice that you are not using bold or italics properly in your SEO optimization. No longer are backlinks and simply pinging or sending out a RSS feed the key to getting Google PageRank or Alexa Rankings, You now NEED On-Page SEO. So what is good On-Page SEO?First your keyword must appear in the title. Then it must appear in the URL.You have to optimize your keyword and make sure that it has a nice keyword density of 3-5% in your article with relevant LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing). Then you should spread all H1,H2,H3 tags in your article.Your Keyword should appear in your first paragraph and in the last sentence of the page. You should have relevant usage of Bold and italics of your keyword. There should be one internal link to a page on your blog and you should have one image with an alt tag that has your keyword….wait there’s even more Now what if i told you there was a simple WordPress plugin that does all the On-Page SEO, and automatically for you? That’s right AUTOMATICALLY, just watch this 4minute video for more information at. Seo Plugin

I know that the name Hornets suit the North Carolina area better. But it will be sad to see the Hornets mascot go. And the Hornets name itself isn’t that bad. The jerseys aren’t bad either, if they decide to get rid of the stripes. And lastly, their logo is pretty good to me. The teal blue may not be a perfect color, but it’s unique.

  • jag43216

when the hornets played the thunder did the oklahoma city crowd cheer for them because they used to play there?

  • nothin_nyce1

The New Orleans/OK City hornets are making up to be a surprising sleeper play-off team. They are tied for the last playoff spot in the west. How good of a chance does this team have????

  • Zanto

They looked decent in the first quarter. Can they pull it off?

BQ: How will the Hornets and Lakers finish the season?
Number one their record on the road is better than their home record. Number two they just shut down Memphis in the FedEx Forum. They’re just starting to suck in this game.

  • rashest_hippo

The New Orleans Hornets & Orlando Magic was reportedly interested in Iverson this past summer.

  • apleaforbrandon

Which teams will beat them more than once besides the New Orleans Hornets?

  • maskills24

Steve Nash, in tonight’s double overtime loss, committed more turnovers than the entire New Orleans Hornets squad. The TO score was 10-9. Two questions are possible from this:
    1. Is this the longest game during which one player has out-turnovered the other squad?
    2. Is this the most turnovers one player has had while outdoing the other team?

  • skillz

At the time of posting this they were 6 points ahead.

Not bad. They’re competing against the best team in the NBA. I think heat will come back and beat them by 13 at least but at the end of the day the Hornets will have something to hang their heads high about.

What if the Hornets actually beat the Heat though?

BQ: Who do you think will win?

  • airdogspace2

Milwaukee drafted Andrew Bogut as the no. 1 pick in the 2005 draft. Atlanta got Marvin Williams while Utah picked Deron Williams leaving Chris Paul to the New Orleans Hornets. Is CP3 not that impressive during his college days?

  • Erin

    I have it down as:
Chicago Bulls – Kirk Hinrich (may cahnge cause it may be Rose’s team than the best player would be Gordon)

Detroit Pistons – (This is a weird team cause they are just so good but Billups is the engine that makes this team run.)

Washington Wizards (Gilbert Arenas – Although, Caron and Antawn step up)

Utah Jazz (Deron Williams no offense to C. Booz cause he is great is the leader of this team).

Golden State Warriors – (Its 2 early to tell I think Monta will be there best player, but C. Magg and Captain Jax are in contention.)

Los Angeles Clippers – (Baron “The Body Guard” Davis)

Phoenix Suns – (This team will be nowhere w/o Nash ex. put back Marbury or another pg w/ some talent they may as well be a 38 win team out west. No offense to Amare, Raja, Leandro and the other good players they have but Nash is the glue that holds the team together.

New Orleans Hornets – CP3 is AMAZING

Thats like 8 out of 30 teams that are pg oriented…..Anyone have anyone I may have missed. Also I dont even want to do the center oriented teams. Both these positions are a rarity to leading a team.

  • David

My prediction is that will have at least .650 season next year. They were just mediocre in the beginning of the season, but at the end of their season they did win quite a few games. If they can play like that all season, they have a playoff spot.

BQ:Do you think Tom Benson will make a good owner for the Hornets?

  • Matthew David

    New orleans hornets starting lineup:

    PG: Chris paul CP3
    SG: Ray Allen
    SF: Hedo Turkoglu
    PF:Zach Randolph
    C: Ben Wallace

    The bench:

Raja Bell, Toney Douglas, Mustafa Shakur (don’t know who he is drafted him in 2nd round), Charlie bell, James Posey, Ryan Anderson, Tyler Hansbrough, and Dan Gadzuric.

Its a draft and we are 7-1 record now what do you think will we do good?

  • Clayton Cottrell

Chris Paul, Tyson Chandler, Julian Wright, and David West have lead the Hornets to a 56-25 record and the top spot in the southwest division while they remain one of the least publicized teams in the NBA.

  • stephen m

In Game 5 on Tuesday night, the New Orleans Hornets’ Tyson Chandler was standing at the top of the key waiting to set a screen for Chris Paul.

The San Antonio Spurs’ Tony Parker was backing down the court guarding Paul and blindly ran into Chandler. Chandler was called for a foul.

But why? Sure, it was a violent collision, but Chandler was not moving and he should be entitled to that spot on the court, right?

  • Keegan

I’m looking for like a hornets shirt or something. Everything I find is for the New Orleans Hornets, not Charlotte. Any suggestions other than ebay?

  • mendhak

At the game now, it funny to see them advertising the Pelicans name while the Hornets name still exists.

  • jag43216

BQ: how will the Hornets do this season?
BQ2: how long will Chris Paul stay a Hornet?

  • DuckieM10

    1. San Antonio Spurs- Tim Duncan need I say more
    2. Utah Jazz- Carlos Boozer and Deron Williams will continue to improve
    3. Golden State- Baron Davis remains healthy this team is the most dangerous in the western conference.
    4. Houston Rockets- Yao Ming, Tracy McGrady if they get on the same page will be tough.
    5. Dallas Mavericks they lack a quality point guard but if Nowitzki gets hot they’ll be ok just won’t go far in the playoffs.
    6. Phoenix Suns- Marion is gone hate to break it to you Suns fan doesn’t want to be there anymore that means Nash isn’t as dangerous and can easily trap Stoudemire and Nash into turnover situations which Nash tends to do anyways especially when he’s guarded by a physical defender someone like Deron Williams, Jason Kidd, Jamal Tinsley, and Baron Davis.
    7. New Orleans Hornets: Chris Paul healthy
    8. Memphis Grizzlies: Mike Miller and Pau Gasol is healthy
    9. La Lakers they won’t make the playoffs especially with Kobe being a whiny bitch!
    10. Portland Trail Blazers they have Brandon Roy and Lamarcus Aldridge who will continue to develop.
    11. La Clippers: No Elton Brand means lost season
    12. Sacramento Kings-Mike Bibby is alright but needs more talent other then Kevin Martin
    13. Minnesota Timberwolves- a few good prospects but won’t improve for another couple years
    14. Seattle Sonics- Needs more talent to put around Kevin Durant.

(Denver is a dark horse if AI or Carmelo gets injured this team doesn’t have the depth to come out of it but they’re around 7 if they don’t have any injuries.)

  • Matt

Maybe I’m not understanding this correctly, but does this not make sense to anybody else? Doesn’t the NBA owning a team seem like somewhat of a conflict of interest? It seems a little unfair to me. And I’m referring to the New Orleans Hornets in case there was any confusion.

  • Rishi

    OUT OF THESE TEAMS!?

    1. Memphis Grizzlies
    2. Oklahoma City Thunder
    3. Philadelphia 76′ers
    4. Portland Trail Blazers
    5. New Orleans Hornets
    6. Utah Jazz

The teams that are not the best but will have a good chance of making it to the playoffs at least. Out of these 5 teams which do you think will make it past the first round, 2 round? Maybe to even win it?

  • Picean

If grizzs, and new orleans hornets advance that would be a surprise
Added with thunder and maybe portland the nba is getting younger

  • Cliffy N

i am personally rooting for either the Los Angeles Lakers or the New Orleans Hornets. ive pushed Boston out of the picture mainly because they are not as impressive as i expected them to be.

  • Yoshi

I think of Aqua Velva, turqoise, wintergreen, mint, The Miami Dolphins, The New Orleans Hornets, The Florida Marlins, marble, algae, The Caribbean, and traffic lights. What does the color teal make you think of?

  • EzioAuditore1459

I love the Dallas Mavericks and the New Orleans Hornets…..and when they played each other on February 5th, it was the best game I had ever been to!
I think Dirk and Jason Kidd together is gonna be awesome! Woo Hoo! Can’t wait to go to another game!

  • Goe122

I got an New Orleans Hornets jersey and i want to know how to wash it without making any mistakes

  • nmlpc

Some of yall may not agree with me but I think the Utah Jazz are a bigger threat because the I believe Carlos Boozer can dominate at his position and also the New Orleans Hornets are not experience I would have to say the Utah Jazz.

    Do yall agree?

    What yall think?

  • Andre

I am asking because I thought it faster and cheaper to fix up the New Orleans Arena than the Louisiana Superdome. Also, I want your answer to be backed by a reliable source, and not by Wikipedia.

  • gail C

    For the New Orleans hornets.

  • blarg blarg

Who should be on “upset alert”? I’ll go with the upstart New Orleans Hornets. They would’ve come out better to have played the Suns or the Rockets. I think think the Mavs will grind them down and take it in Game 7. Who you got?

  • Chris R

What do you think about the possibility of the current New Orleans Hornets franchise being bought from the NBA by Billionaire Larry Ellison and being moved to San Jose’s HP Pavilion? The Warriors would be payed approx. 150 million dollars for the territorial rights, but that is chump change to Ellison. Would Northern California be able to support 3 franchises or would this signal the end of the Kings in Sacramento? Would they possibly relocate to Seattle or St. Louis (or even New Orleans)?

  • Michael C

Does it benefit both team? Is Clippers now the sleeper for the playoff berth? How does it affect New Orleans Hornets?

  • shahedC

If the Lakers lose game 2, they are going to have some serious problems. This aint the New Orleans Hornets or the Oklahoma City Thunder. You can’t let Dallas win the first 2 or you got problems. Am I the only watching this game it total shock right now?

  • Only Business

    New orleans hornets starting lineup:

When katrina hit, New orleans suffered from a huge hurricane disaster, of course they had to clean up and everything, what happaned to Sports teams that played there for example the New orleans hornets or The New Orleans Saints? Was season canceled for all sports or did they keep playing to raise money for the teams?

BQ1: Were the NOH teams moved to another area to play their games?

  • supernerd567

i was wondering if anyone know if the New orleans hornets have an official myspace page, where you could stay abreast as to what is going on with the team and it teammates. I know that the washington wizards had one and even the chicago cubs, so im wondering if they have one because the one i HAVE been finding are mere knock offs

  • Roar me R

There are lots of buzz of a new arena in Seattle. There are interest groups that are willing to bring the Phoenix Coyotes of the NHL to Seattle and/or Sacramento Kings or New Orleans Hornets of the NBA to Seattle? Will a NBA team relocate to seattle? Which team is more likely to move to Seattle? NOH or SAC? Why?

  • Mak Sultan

because if they do move again the bobcats should change their name back to the charlotte hornets. even though i really didnt see the charlotte hornets play but i think if the bobcats change their name back more people will come to their games and they will probably have a better team. but if they do move the new orleans hornets to another city where will chris paul and the rest of the team play for?

  • Christopher J

I got to give it to the the New Orlean Hornets yall.

  • Gundown64

They have the old Hornets shorts but not the new style. Can anyone help me figure out why, or help me find some?

  • brincks26

What number will Anthony Davis be wearing for the new Orleans hornets?

  • Matthew

I’m trying to get drafted by Toronto (Pick 8th) in NBA 2K13 MyCareer I’m a All-Around PG the teams that I’ve been interviewed by were the Detroit Pistons (Pick 9th), New Orleans Hornets (Pick 10th), Phoenix Suns (Pick 13th), Portland Trailblazers (Pick 11th), and Houston Rockets (Pick 12th) Should I be using a different play style or try to go for a better performance in the Rookie Showcase?

  • Flash Funk

I’m in my second season, Im on the new Orleans hornets and I have been starting all year long I have averaged 26.7 points a game I’m a pg. But ever since I went to the rookie chalange and the allstar game I’m not starting for the hornets, it says I have only 14 minutes. Idk know what to do?

  • EzioAuditore1459

Put your rank with the amount of drafts it will take for the team to become a contender

    1. Sacramento kings
    2. Washington wizards
    3. Charlotte bobcats
    4. New orleans hornets
    5. Utah jazz
    6. Detroit pistons
    7. Cleveland cavaliers

    Have fun!

  • lucasg615

For me it was a basketball game; New Orleans Hornets vs. Memphis Grizzlies in Memphis back in December.

  • stingerms

NOTE: Picked based off which jersey you can see them in. PICK 1 LETTER.

    a. San Antonio Spurs
    b. L.A. Clippers
    c. Memphis Grizzlies
    d. Houston Rockets
    e. Dallas Mavericks
    f. Portland Trailblazers
    g. New Orleans Hornets

  • Harry

I hope Dallas wins so the nuggets play the lakers. Buying tickets asap if that’s the case.

  • SteveO

I went to the Bobcats game in Dallas this year and so many bobcats fans were talking trash one guy even spit on my jersey.I went to the bobcats game 2 years ago in Charlotte so many people were booing me.One guy even threatened to burn my jersey. What’s going on?

  • ademuth93

So im currently looking at buying a sixers snap back and a Charlotte hornets snap back.
I like them for the retro style and im not really a hornets fan (am a sixer fan). The thing is the hornets aren’t even located in Charlotte anymore they are now in New Orleans so this is also a throwback hat. Would it be weird for me to buy it and wear it although i wasn’t a fan because i was five when they were in Charlotte and im not a fan of the New Orlean Hornets?

  • opurt

Has a team like today’s utah jazz, phoenix suns, or new orleans hornets ever won an NBA finals?

  • Disrae

I really want to find the blue wristbands that Chris Paul wears during games like the Nike Baller Bands but with the New Orleans Hornets colors.

  • diggn4richez

I mean it’s a battle, I have no idea how the seeds will look like, and which team will be left out. Your predictions?

    Here’s mine:
    1-Los Angeles Lakers
    2-New Orlean Hornets
    3-Denver Nuggets
    4-San Antonio Spurs
    5-Utah Jazz
    6-Houston Rockets
    7-Portland Trailblazers
    8-Phoenix Suns

I don’t think the Mavericks will make it.

  • floydian8717

    Top performers:

    New Orleans Hornets:David West,38 points,14 rebounds,5 assists,2 steals,5 blocks,2 turnovers.

    San Antonio Spurs:Tim Duncan,10 points,23 rebounds,2 assists,1 block,3 turnovers.

Hopefully the Hornets will win this.

  • mal_functiongeo

    Minnesota (Other than Kevin Garnett)

New Orleans Hornets (Players from the Charlotte days count too, not including CP3, who wouldbt be my pick anyways)

Portland Trail Blazers (I wont restrict it since there are quite a few options in my opinion)

As for the troll situation, I find it hilarious that Jamaican Man, a former troll himself, has become the target of the trolls, oh the irony.

  • Alun J

Today they got theri butt whooped by the rockets which would be an eight seed if the playoffs were to begin today. I dont think hornets have enough experience and I dont trust stojakovic in playoffs. I think a team like rockets or nuggets can send them home in the first round.

  • steve

Is he going to be the second option after Danny Granger?
    Predict his stats.
Are the New Orleans Hornets going to regret trading him?

  • sarah w

I am planning to buy my boyfriend tickets to a Laker’s game but I couldn’t decide for which teams. I am wondering which game is the best to watch between the Atlanta Hawks, Memphis Grizzlies, New Orleans Hornets, Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets, Detroit Pistons and Chicago Bulls. Thanks!

The WWE announced at Half-Time at The New Orleans Hornets vs. The Washington Wizards Basketball Game that The Rock will be at The 2013 WWE Elimination Chamber Pay Per View. Do you think The Rock will wrestle at Elimination Chamber? Or will he be there just to promote his upcoming match at Wrestlemania 29?
The Rock is being advertised for WWE’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view in February. Word going around WWE is that he will indeed be wrestling on that show, most likely in one of the Chamber matches. This would be The Rock’s first-ever Chamber match.

I went onto a New Orleans Hornets message board on a popular website that shall remain unnamed. I was trying to find out what people thought of the team possibly hiring Avery Johnson in the area. The board was dead. It had been days since people responded to certain threads. It’s not like this on other boards. I had heard that the Hornets weren’t doing well in New Orleans and might move, from certain people.

Are the Saints popular? I had heard Atlanta and Miami are other bad sports cities too.

  • Miguel M

Tom Benson has stated he wants to change the New Orleans Hornets name to something that represents the city. That being said this opens up the possibility that the Bobcats can be renamed to the Hornets that is if the league allows it.I don’t see why it would be an issue as the fans in Charlotte are overwhelmingly in support of being called the Hornets

  • Praveen

whenever chris paul scores, there are always two whooos that follow. is that something paul just likes or is it a New Orleans thing?

  • Malcolm Hudson

We have teams like The memphis grizzles, from Memphis tennesse in the Eastern part of the U.S. and The New orleans Hornets from New Orleans Louisiana in the east side of the country as well. How do they classify a team being in a certain conference?

  • Taylor2k

    brothers, cousins, life partners ???
Also, if you were the New Orleans Hornets management would you trade Chris Paul for another player since it looks like Collison will become one of the better point guards in the league?

  • Jermaine J

In lieu of the New Orleans Hornets changing their name from the Hornets to the Pelicans, should the New York Knicks do the same thing?

Although “Pelicans” is a silly name for an NBA franchise, at least it fits since Pelicans are the state bird of Louisiana.

Since it’s 2012 and nobody wears Knickers anymore, do you think the Knicks should get with the times and change their name?

    If so, what?

  • jdfan

I was thinking about this question the other day. One of the worst teams I can recall is the New Orleans Hornets the season before they drafted Chris Paul. The team’s leading scorer that season was David Wesley. And if you recall their starting point guard then was Dan Dickau. Thoughts?

  • Lachlan

Ok so I print jerseys I already got a RG3 And a Andrew luck jerseys but now I’m looking at basketball. I’m going to make a new Orleans hornets Anthony Davis jersey. But idk what number he will be. So dose anyone know what number he will be? Also he can’t be 23

  • http://www.completehockeyplayer.com/ Mac

I think you’re incredibly stupid…. No way you should
be working on a NBA mock when the Stanley cup finals are going on!!!

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/XOVTTZVZ5UGL2AT264UJ2F5GUM CM Fan 4 Life

Terrible mock. Drummond NBA ready? Lol he is the most raw of the possible top 5 picks. Also switch Lillard and Marshall. Marshall is a half court PG while Lillard is a fast breaker. The T Wolves pick Leonard? Did you watch Pekovic last season, and Love never actually played very much center

  • AlexGillm

Anthony Davis is the best #1 since Derrick Rose? No way is he better than Blake Griffin. He will be a great defensive presence but has no offensive ability. Marcus Camby 2.0 at best.

  • AlexGillm

I wouldn’t say Beal is a better prospect but does fill a bigger need.

  • david5taylor

I don’t understand why you have the Cavs drafting Robinson at 4. They drafted Tristan Thompson at 4 last year and seem to be very high on him. Also Beal is a better prospect and fill a bigger need.
