OH MAN! So close!!!! Dustin Johnson nearly edged out Snedecker for the win. Was a fun week and weekend in maple leaf country. Alas, no Canadian player to lift the hardware but many have the “old Mounty try” (this is the equivalent to the old college try here in the states).
Anywho congrats to Snedecker and the win. That now pulls him into 3rd place alone behind Tiger and Phil or the FedEx Cup standings.
On a quick side note, how about Hunter Mahan’s weekend. Mahan is playing well and has the 54 hole lead before withdrawing. WHAT?!?!? He withdrew. APPARENTLY there was like some kid born or something (for those of you who didn’t watch this tournament…..first of all SHAME!…you do not deserve to read my articles, but secondly, Hunter and his lovely wife welcomed their first child).
So my question is, why would you enter an event if you knew your wife was expecting? I mean I could understand a major, but in that case you would STAY and finish with a 54 hole lead. I mean how many times can you have a 54 hole lead for a major vs. being present for the birth of your first child? (Sarcasm implied)
Alright, well congrats to the Mahan family and to Brandt on the win. I am 0 for a lot so far on my predictions but we do have WGC – Bridgestone Invitational up next. No time like now for the first correct prediction.
Carry on smartly chaps!
