Enough already!  Let’s Draft.

Round 1 should be fun, there are two trades already in this round:

  • Buffalo’s 1st pick to Cleveland in the Sammy Watkins trade
  • Seattle 1st pick to New Orleans in the Jimmy Graham trade

Round 1

1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jameis Winston – QB – Florida State
Sill scares me…

2. Tennessee Titans: Marcus Mariota – QB – Oregon
Trade?  Maybe… but I think the Titans take him if they don’t trade

3. Jacksonville Jaguars: Dante Fowler – DE – Florida
Jags get some much needed pass rush

4. Oakland Raiders: Leonard Williams – DT/DE – USC
Deep receiver class leads to best defensive player taken here.

5. Washington Redskins: Vic Beasley – DE/OLB – Clemson
The Pass rushers continue to come off the board

6. New York Jets: Kevin White – WR – West Virginia
Big tall wide outs in New York

7. Chicago Bears: Danny Shelton – DT – Washington
Almost went wide receiver, but I think they solidify their D Line.

8. Atlanta Falcons: Alvin Dupree – DE – Kentucky
Falcons have to get some pressure on the QB

9. New York Giants: Brandon Scherff – OT – Iowa
Last year I gave them online help, same holds true this year.

10. St. Louis Rams: Amari Cooper – WR – Alabama
Legit number 1

11. Minnesota Vikings: DeVante Parker – WR – Louisville
Louisville connection from Bridgewater

12. Cleveland Browns: Ereck Flowers – OT – Miami
Buidling up that online

13. New Orleans Saints: Trae Waynes – CB – Michigan State
Secondary help

14. Miami Dolphins: Todd Gurley – RB – Georgia
Finally a power runner!

15. San Francisco 49ers:  Arik Armstead – DE – Oregon
San Fran starts to rebuild their Defense from the line out

16. Houston Texans: Breshad Perriman – WR – Central Florida
Houston can go a lot of ways here, but I think they upgrade their wideouts

17. San Diego Chargers: Melvin Gordon – RB – Wisconsin
The Chargers need someone on that offense to help Rivers

18. Kansas City Chiefs: Cameron Erving – C – Florida State
Andy Reid always drafts Beef early.

19. Cleveland Browns (from Buf): Malcom Brown – DT – Texas
O line and D line, gotta start somewhere.

20. Philadelphia Eagles: Kevin Johnson – CB – Wake Forest
I hear their shopping corners? Not sure why since they need them.

21. Cincinnati Bengals: Shane Ray – DE/OLB – Missouri
They never shy away from character concerns, and they need pass rush.

22. Pittsburgh Steelers: Landon Collins – S – Alabama
I hear they need a safety?

23. Detroit Lions: D J Humphries – OT – Florida
Lions get good value with this pick and upgrade their line.

24. Arizona Cardinals: Andrus Peat – OT – Stanford
Carson is 13-3 in his last 16 starts… protect him.

25. Carolina Panthers: Dorial Green-Beckham – WR – Oklahoma
When Cam misses his wide outs, he usually misses high.

26. Baltimore Ravens:  Marcus Peters – CB – Washington
I wanted to give them a WR, but just to good of value here.

27. Dallas Cowboys: Randy Gregory – DE – Nebraska
Their pass rush is already suspended this year.

28. Denver Broncos: Jake Fisher – OT – Oregon
Might be the prefect tackle for Denver’s new system… perfect.

29. Indianapolis Colts: Jordan Phillips – NT – Oklahoma
Phillips sneaks into the first round!

30. Green Bay Packers: Erik Kendricks – ILB – UCLA
Inside linebacker is a must here.

31. New Orleans Saints (from Sea):  Phillip Dorsett – WR – Miami
Corner earlier now they get Brees some help… solid draft

32. New England Patriots: Jalen Collins – CB – LSU
They did loose their top corners right?

My vote is in powder blues… Makes a lot of sense to me.

  • Mac

I agree… I haven’t decided where and who will take Mariota…. Going to be so fun this year.

  • CodyG

I would have to agree with Belch. I’m looking forward to lots of moves.

This is an interesting draft… I don’t really have a problem with any of these picks, but I have a feeling we may see more moves this year than in any other year. So many teams need players that sit either above or below their picks that it’s going to be mayhem.
